Grading Answers
Trivnow requires little to no effort in grading answers during an event and requires absolutely no math skills at all. But you should learn how to do some basic math. I mean it's a helpful skill, just not with hosting trivia.
Trivnow does not look at any special characters or trailing white-spaces when grading answers. This means that if the answer to the question is
Heather's
but a player entersHeathers
, their answer will be automatically graded as correct. You do not need to addHeathers
to the acceptable answers.
Acceptable Answers
Free Response questions allow you to enter acceptable answers to the question to help speed up your time grading. You can enter as many acceptable answers to your question as you'd like.
Request Clarification
When a player provides you with a vague or incomplete answer, you are able to ping them to request clarification. They'll only be able to change their answer, they will not be able to adjust wager options. When they submit their clarification, the system will automatically grade their answer to see if it matches the correct answer or any acceptable answers.
Partial Credit
You are able to manually adjust the amount of points a player will earn on a question.
Score Matching Answers as Correct/Incorrect
This feature is available after a question has ended and before scores have been released. It allows for you to automatically grade any similar answers to the question the same.
Violation Detection
Players who commit a violation during a question will still be able to submit their answer, but their answer will automatically be marked as incorrect. A flag will be shown next to their answer to let you know a violation was detected and you'll be required to manually flip their grade from incorrect to correct - if you choose to show them mercy.
