An even simpler way to host virtual shows
We're excited to announce that you can now broadcast live video using nothing more than Trivnow. No more need to have multiple windows open or dealing with stream delays. Trivnow is now the only trivia platform to have built-in video broadcasting support to make running virtual shows as easy as opening our app/website.
If you're already a professional streamer, you'll be happy to know that you can customize your stream using popular broadcasting software like OBS, ManyCam, SLOBS, Snap Camera, and Xpression Camera. Giving you plenty of ways to create unique experiences for your players.
The Virtual Stage
A big benefit of broadcasting with Trivnow is that you're able to invite members of the audience to join you on the virtual stage where they can be seen/heard by everyone in the event. This gives you new ways to connect and engage with your community - when you're not a the bar.
Broadcast from anywhere
Another big plus to broadcasting with Trivnow is that you can do it from your phone! No need to be at your computer to host your virtual shows. You can be in your pool, climbing a mountain, or riding on the bus. Making it easier than ever to quiz your community.
Voice Chat -> Video Chat
In September we added group voice chat to make it easier for teams to collaborate on answers and socialize during events. We've now expanded on that and turned the group voice chat into group video chat! This gives your players a new way to connect with each other during virtual events.
Players are able to join group video chat when you enable the option during event creation. The best part is that this feature is available even if you're using a third-party streaming service like Twitch or YouTube.
Theme your events with ease
You can now added custom background images to your events to give your events a unique look and feel. These themes can be applied to the event or to each round in your game. All your themes are saved and accessible for reuse.
Hey, can I join your team?
Joining a team was a little too difficult during remote events since it required that players reach out to the team captain for the team key (outside of Trivnow) before they could join the team. Today we resolved that issue by introducing the Request to Join feature. This feature allows players to ping the team captain and request they join the team. Making for a more streamlined process when joining events.
